A Valentine's Day Rainbow

Today started out as a normal day. We had two Rosie gram bookings. With our work schedule, I took off and Brandon worked a little longer than I did. I drove up to the farm to get Rosie and the trailer (I got my new magnets with our name on it to decorate the trailer!) ready for the days events. I got her out of the pen, and tied her up to the trailer to give her a bath and blow her out so she would be nice and clean and fluffy for all the visits. When I turned the water on to wash her there was a rainbow that came off the stream of water. If anyone knows me or has been around me, rainbows are one of my favorite things. I love them because of the promise God made to us after the flood, that He would never flood the earth again. I always see a rainbow and remember God's promise to me to always be there for me and have my best interest in mind, so when I saw the rainbow I was reminded of that. Everything went so smoothly getting Rosie ready. I even got to drive the truck and trailer to pick Brandon up from work to start our adventure. It was the first time I ever got to pull the gooseneck trailer so I prayed before I started moving and everything went smoothly! God was at it again. He was in control and I was following what He wanted me to be doing. We got to our first stop at Valley Community Church's homeschool group and while we were there, a lady stopped because she saw the truck and trailer and Rosie outside with the group of students. She came up and asked what we were doing and how she could get us to come to Hampton Woods Rehab center in Jackson. Brandon discussed with her and set it up. Another fun thing about me is for years I have always wanted to have a therapy donkey. I wanted to bring a donkey to senior centers and nursing homes to share a farm animal with those who can not see them anymore. I know some people may have had animals growing up and to bring that memory back to them just brings me so much joy and excitement. We took Rosie over to Hampton Woods and we were able to bring joy and smiles to many of the residence there. I got teary eyed when one of the residence came out and had a huge smile on her face and was speechless, she was so filled with joy seeing Rosie. I was a little concerned on how Rosie would do with wheelchairs, walkers and hospital beds, but she surprised me and would walk right up to the residence and put her head on their lap or stand next to them so they could rub their shaking weak hands through her fluffy hair. This was another God wink for me to see I am doing something He wants me to do and everything was working out. Rosie made us laugh towards the end of our visit when she started to play with a walker and wheeling it around by pushing it with her nose and head. They all got a good laugh out of it. I know this was a long story but it was something I just wanted to share that when you put your trust in God, and let Him lead you then look for His leading and confirmation it can blow you away and make you so happy. So remember when you see a rainbow, remember God's promise.
